P.Goette Well, I can give you the creators of Sargon (in general): Dan and Kathe Spracklen. They no longer write chess programs as I understand it. Sargon (I think it was III, could have been Sargon II) had the honor of defeating a mainframe chess program in a tournament game. I used to run it on my Apple II computer -- my guess was its ELO was somewhere around 1500 (about 1700 USCF). Roy
