Such things can happen when not playing enought games.
Should results of Shredder 9 not become much better
in the next 80 games, something must be wrong with
your setup of the engines/GUI/PC. For Shredder 9 test
at 40'/40 time control please have a look at

No other (available) engine will be able to to better.
