Martin, although I must confess that since Ruud announced his Resurrection my >determination to get one got much weaker (but the fact that I already own a R30 >helped in this respect even more). yes i can understand that perfectly well there is no question that no longer being able to say the R40 is the strongest computer ever released for sale, must have some negative impact on its value and desireablilty > > However, don't you >think that it probably always will be possible to load the original program into >your first module too? actually and to be honest i dont know how this will work i have seen photos of the Ressurection module motherboard and i am fairly certain Ruud is using Eprom technology my understanding is that upgrades will be available as program modifications direct into the eprom via a serial cable if so,how would one get the old program back into the eprom? believe me i do not look forward to having to acquire two module sets ,because as you well know these are not inexpensive modules, but it is more important in my opinion to preserve the first version then the cost of buying another for upgrades but you have the best approach a patient and waiting approach is best for now As Always.. My Best Steve
