Thanks for the testposition Terry! I'm testing the new mainframe -well that's
what I call it, it's an Athlon64 3200+ - and Pro Deo gets over 1.1 million nodes
per second! Because of the slightly different architecture, all Pro Deo
personalities behave differently too, compared to my Celeron(Pentium III) 500
MHz. That has 256 kb L1 cache. The Athlon has a 512 kb cache I believe. I think
that influences Lazy eval, the amount of the eval function that can be held in
cache is different. Pro Deo 1.1 default settings does it better so far on this
machine, which is not surprising as I believe Ed has an Athlon 3400+ as his
development machine.

Pro Deo 1.1 Betazoid T901 on a mainframe (Athlon 64 3200) would play 1.Qe2 in a
blitzgame but also likes Shredder's Na4 after a while:
