I have not had a problem with the UCI version. Maybe the Chessbase GUI is buggy and not the engine - just a thought. As regards the mate in 150 - I think you'll find that whenever Shredder 9 annouces mate in 150 there will indeed be a mate announcement. The "150" figure can be interpreted as "a mate - but I'm not sure what depth". Regards, Steve
