The factory setting is a 1 meg hash table ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 - Should I be changing it, and if so, how and to what? I say change it. Okay say for example when you log into CM6K that you create a login user called dave. Within you CM6K directory their will be a users directory, and within that there will now be a directory called Dave (for the user you created) now open up a file called dave.ini or the ini file of the user name you created. Open it using a txt editor program. Now in that file you will come to a part that says something like this. [engine] ttable_size=20 book=Mentor.OBK Now how the hash works is like this and change this line - ttable_size=20 ttable_size=20 is for 1 meg hash ttable_size=21 is for 2 meg hash ttable_size=22 is for 4 meg hash ttable_size=23 is for 8 meg hash ttable_size=24 is for 16 meg hash ttable_size=25 is for 32 meg hash ttable_size=26 is for 64 meg hash and so on ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My system is a PII 350 with 64m Ram With your system use 16 meg Hash tables, the programmer suggests this size hash as being the best to use, no higher. but nothing is stopping you or course. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope this helps Micheal
