Over the years i have collected over 13 chessbase programs including fritz 7,
fritz8, fritz 8 deluxe, fritz 8 championship edition, deep fritz 7 & 8, hiarcs
9, junior 7, junior 8 & 9, deep junior 8 & 9, shredder 7, shredder 7.04,
shredder 8 and shredder 9 ! Over the last 3 months i have been running 60 mins
pluss 15 second incriments at playchess.com vs other engines all over the world
! I have come to the conclusion after 100 games with each engine that depp fritz
8 and junior 9 are the best at long time controlls ! DF8 reached an astonishing
2789 elo with a single 2.8 celron 1 gb ram pc and junior 9 reached a amazing
2600 also ! hiarcs 9 was the beast at blitz with a 2590 elo at 3 min blitz games
! I will defently buy fritz ,junior and hiarcs programs in the future ! shredder
is a good program but is weak in endgames in my opion ! yes it is true that most
people will disagree with my statment here ! I know on the net alot of people do
testing and will also say that my findings are wrong ! what i am saying is how
can you base your findings and truely tell that they are right ? I mean Hydra is
suppost to be the unbeatable engine at tournaments ! Yet i havebeaten it at
playchess.com at 60+15 mins . Yes this was not a 40 move max game but how can
everyone say that one engine is better than the other ? please reply if you want
to discuss this issue ! all im trying to say is that any chessbase program can
become strong anf beat the top rated programs ! in my opion there is not a best
or better engine. the program only needs time to learn thats all !
