If the chess engine can use multiple threads (specifically with the Xbox 360 CPU/memory architecture) efficiently, it would be pretty good. But, I doubt that any current engine has been even ported to this architecture yet, much less optimized. I would think Crafty would be first. Also, the fast floating point speed is pretty useless for most chess engines. Current single-threaded, integer instruction based program performance will be fair to poor, IMO. Remember, Bob Hyatt suggested we all get working on "SMP" years ago :) Next, Quad core will be here before we know it (and likely before Tinker would know how to use even 2 CPU cores). Brian
