The games were not registered as wins by me. I followed one of them as a kibitzer and he was doing it to others. I complained to the site authorities and even telephoned the Chessbase office about how was that possible and never got a satisfactory response. It hasn't happened again but I am sure that there are rogue programs that can hack the ChessBase site. They watch computer cheaters pretty carefully and throw them out, so I imagine that playchess is a prime candidate for hacking.
