Thanks for your answer. I had another idea. I made a little change : I installed both F8 and S9 in different directories, copied the book tree, the database and the engine itself (shredder9.eng/dll) in their respective directories then uninstall the older program, here F8. So that now I'm left with one program, the F8 GUI and I can choose either F8 or S9 engine. I did not want to update to the latest GUI because I heard it had some bugs.
