If you tried to install it in CPT, maybe there is more to it than putting the engine in the same directory. For installation under Chessbase or Lokasoft, you have to make the engine known by importing it (that is in the readme.text) But the CPT-program should have instructions about where to install analysis engines, if it is capable of that. I read the online helpfile and it did not mention how to do that. So I'm not that sure it is possible? White.EOC is the last file in the Pro Deo directory, so it makes sense that a failed installation should stop there. It is only three bytes long and only contains a zero, as far as Notepad can see. If you have the Lokasoft interface, that is the surest way of installing Pro Deo 1.1. Chessbase is possible but I can't tell you much about that as I don't have it, sorry. Best regards, Eelco
