Go up one level in this thread
Steve,
this is very kind of you ;), however anything I own (for trade), you've probably
had in your nuclear weapon safe cellar before I even started to think about
collecting.. (well, maybe there is one unit you don't have yet -- I'm sure you
know which is on my mind) *ggg* .
I don't know if I mentioned this already. My tiny ´non-collection´ ;) consists
of:
Tasc R30 v2.5 SmartBoard 30 & SmartBoard 20
Mephisto Exclusive Lyon 68020
Eproms: Almeria, Portorose, Vancouver, London
Risc II, Dallas 68020, Amsterdam, MMIV, B&P modules
Mephisto Academy (2x), Mephisto III
Fidelity Elite A/G v2 and v9
Fidelity Sensory 9
Novag Diablo 68000
Saitek Renaissance, Saitek Galileo
Maestro D++ 10MHz, Analyst D 8MHz modules
...and the infamous Resurrection.
If luck and money permits, one day I think I will add a Sparc module, some
Conchess Schachcomputer (Monarch ie), of course all the Fidelity A/Gs available
and the Premiere (there was one a couple of months ago for sale on eBay if
recall correctly -- I can bite my back that I didn't participate in the
bidding). The Novag Sapphire 2 plus board (appearing sometimes on eBay) maybe
worth a look one day too. Well, a Mephisto 68030 or a Turniermaschine I'd take
for a fair price immediately as well. And the Novag Robot which probably won't
be in my reach for a long time. But I can wait. :)
Actually the other wooden units like Mephisto S or Elite A/S and other older
nicer computers might become more interesting when we get a bigger house... ;)
What I certainly won't collect are all the older and newer plastic bombers: all
the Atlantas, Fidelity CCs, Designers, Novag Constellations et al -- or even the
Super Fortes (since I already own Master Diablo, this is enough).
Btw, is there any computer (except the Bogol and A/G v5) you're still looking
for? Or let me ask the other way round: Anything you don't have and wouldn't
think of collecting, although it's a real oldfashioned dedicated chess computer?
Non-collector Regards,
Martin
