Thanks for all the great results. Can I see the pv's? I have a large number of moves where the player to move really gets mated. What I think it means is that if you see deeply enough, the 'best move' evaporates. Those are probably solutions -- busts in the tests. I have found a lot of these. I have at least one thousand checkmates (for or against) where the 'best move' was not the checkmate move or it does not matter what you do, since you are about to get pounded. I only have a tiny part of the 5 piece tablebase files, so you probably hit the nail on the head.
