ok, there are strong indications chess is a draw,
but then we still can wonder why white has an
advantage as can be seen from the statistics.

assuming this advantage is a fundamental one,
then this would be influencing white's strategy,
namely to get an advantage, keep it, and
convert it to a win. Maybe an impossible
goal, i admit that, but nevertheless a playing
strategy which still is used quite often in practical
play, except by the Nemeth/Pablo sort of players,
the gambiteers, the unorthodox addicts, etc.
