Shredder would definitely finish first. There have been many advances in opening
theory since 1924, so it's book would ensure that Shredder had the advantage
coming out of every opening. In contrast, none of its opponents would know the
modern lines. And probably some of the lines in use back then have been
absolutely busted. So those would be easy victories. A few players would
probably manage some draws, but that's about it.
