As long as both positions are in the hash table, lots of computations will be
saved.

Another wonderful thing about Shredder 9 (I use the classic interface with the
UCI version) is that it will reuse analysis for subsequent positions.

So, if you take a game and turn it into PGN records and analyze each position at
10 minutes, after it analyzes the first position, it will jump immediately to
ply 19 on the second position and so on, all the way to the end.

It's a marvelous time saver and makes the analysis as good as double the time
analysis without that feature.

The latest version of Shredder is the neatest thing since sliced bread.

One small issue is that the EPD output records are not fully standard, and so I
have to run them through a SED script before I use them.

But what am I whining about? The ChessBase GUI is totally incapable of EPD
output altogether.

Arena also does not know how to produce it. Even Bruce Moreland's wonderful
EPD2WB thingy does not write out the result records.

I can process EPD with ChessAssistant, but once in a while the analysis gets
lots and I have no idea why. So Shredder for me, all the way.

Boy, oh boy, do I like the latest version of Shredder. And did I mention that I
think it is peachy-creamy keen with a cherry on top?
