Look,

I have played against more GM's with my computer program than probably 98% of
the people on here. Thousands and thousands of games have been played on ICC
against GM's and can tell you what I have learned.

You CANT just grab a chess program and expect it to win against a human. Notice
I said human and not just a GM. Programs STINK when it comes to playing humans.
I have used both commercial and amateur programs and have achieved well over
3400 on ICC using the programs versis humans.

Pablo, father, has never drew against me, nor beat me. Its no secret how to
play against humans once you figure it out. It took me years of understanding
how humans think and play, and now can take ANY resonable engine that plays
chess, adjust the playing style, and bingo another 3400 engine.

One thing is clear. Once an engine is set up to play humans, it will hardly win
against a computer!!! Detuning the engine down to a certain playing style is
the secret.

If I were a human playing a computer. Small moves with pawns. Single,
repeating moves with other pieces, and a nice wall defense to go with it. It
takes work as a human to understand the playing style. But once one figures out
the style, the computer program is junk, unless you know how to set it up-:)
