Please take a look at the following two games. In 2000, Van Wely beat Fritz.
Smirin knew that game, and it turned out that it worked just as well 2002
against Shredder: The games are very similar. Maybe it won't work "as easy" like
that against Hydra, but I think something comparable can be expected from Adams
- Hydra.

Another pattern Adams could try to go for, is Kasparov's win against X3D Fritz
2003 (see 3rd game below), but most chess programmers probably have cared for
that their programs go for counterplay in such a position, better than Fritz
which was too inactive in that game. So I'd say that is less likely to work. It
also depends very much on the opening moves chosen by both each, of course.
