I see. So if he manages to get a Scorpio with a full set of pieces I'll
(generously) offer him ie to sell me his both queens. I think I could find a use
for them somewhere... :)

It is too early to tell for certain, I agree. But my guess would still be that
RR (Resurrection Royale) is the strongest dedicated unit on our planet already
right now. Particularly against all the other computers it seems to have
absolutely no problems at all. This would be a very strong point in my opinion.
Another one is the playing style. RR's moves show that there is a quite modern
engine working behind them: a very active playing style combined with dangerous
tactical power (in the dedicated playing field of course). The only point I
don't like very much btw is the a little bit unstable/discontinuous evaluation
sometimes. I've seen it jumping forth and back in a range of +/- 0.7-0.8 pawns
at times. But I guess this a ´feature´ of the Ruffian engine.

Re the R40 I don't expect it to be that much stronger than the R30 in that
comparison, to be honest. Even the SSDF list says the difference is 30 points.
If we assume this to be true, it means that the expected result of the R40
(compared to the R30) is about 4% better. Given a certain amount of distribution
around this mean, most players (with limited time for testing) would probably
see no difference at all.

So it's probably quite safe to guess that the RR is indeed already the strongest
dedicated computer and if we get the Hiarcs update one day :) this will then
become just more evident...

Royale Regards,
Martin
