What you are describing if I understand, is what you consider to be long disc accessing time when first starting up. Chessbase 9 is a much more sophisticated Program than Chessbase 7. Shredder 9 is a much more sophisticated Program than Fritz 5.32 It takes them a lot longer to fully Load! Especially if you have writtten the Player Encyclopedia and EGTB's to your Hard drive. This is not a Unique Problem! It is not a problem. It's the normal time it takes to load all the information. Go grab a beer and wait it out.
