Eric seemsto have mentioned almost all what there is, but you were asking for
the best. From answers I recieved from similar questions, it seemed that the
undisputably best is Haircs 9.5, with the fastest possible ARM based Palm.
 If you feel that the VERY fastest, is not the best for all-round use, then
maybe Zire 72, is almost as fast, but has better features as well, and is also
alot cheaper.
So if there is going to be, or already is, something better in Zire, than 72,
you probably can't be going very wrong at all.
