Freddie,

I think that you mean c4 and not c3.

These openings are *vast*.  They would not be played by world
champions if they weren't.  I doubt seriously that most games
are drawn, except maybe in GM play, but maybe not even there.

If you don't want to spend months preparing for such openings
then I suggest you try to pick some obscure little known system
and stick with that.  i.e.  you could play f5 on the first move
and play a dutch like opening.
