Did you consider Ukraina and Russia as 2 different countries in the past? 2)I think that Garry Kasparov is not going to be out of the next fide rating list. It is less than a year from his last public game and I see no reason to take him out only because he said that he quit chess. You decide if to remove somebody based on his actions and not based on his words and I do not think that less than a year that a player did not play chess is enough. Uri
