Looking for advice from experienced folks here :-) Chess performance is a priority, I'd like for it to be a clrear upgrade from the overworked P4-3.06 GHz I use now. I used to think dual system were a must had a dual Pentium Pro ages ago), but is it true given today's CPUs? In any case, a sensible price/performance consideration will need to be applied as $$ are not unlimited... Any related advice (motherboard, memory, etc.) would be much appreciated. Does anyone have benchmarks for new CPUs running one of the top programs? Again, thanks for taking the time to reply to this. PK.
