The question is if engines can play not under chessbase in the playchess site. If they cannot do it then it is a very good reason to ban them. Note that winboard also stop but it needs 500 moves and not 256 moves. It is also a bug that should be fixed because it is possible to have games with more than 500 moves and I guess that pablo can get 500 moves in games with increasement under winboard if he tries hard enough. Note that I expect public Movei to crash some moves before move 500 in that case and I think that I will fix it in the next version. In comp-comp games I never got close even to 400 moves and it may be interesting to know the longest comp-comp game when at least one side claim draw by repetition or by the 50 move rule. Uri
