Some of these have "solutions in agreement with the record" but they are huge negative numbers (e.g. the first one has an eval of -17.42 pawns and a 'solution' of hxg6+). Quite likely they are also mates eventually. If anyone wants to polish these ugly, dirty rocks, I would like to know if they are all just dirt clods in disguise or if there are some real gemstones buried in there... My suspicion is that we have a lot more dust than rock. 7k/p7/6p1/2pq3P/Pp2p3/1P2r3/1K2P2Q/8 w - - 6k1/1p1b2pp/3p4/p2Pbq2/P7/1P3p1P/5P1K/4R1N1 w - - 8/7p/3k1p2/2p2Pp1/2P1p1P1/1P4P1/4K3/8 w - - 6k1/p4p1p/3p1p2/2p1r3/2Pnr1N1/P6P/1P1Q1PP1/3R1RK1 b - - k7/P2R4/8/1P5p/p6K/3n3p/3n4/3r4 w - - 7k/7p/R6P/5r2/1P6/2P5/P5R1/4K3 b - - 6k1/3Q1pp1/4p2p/p2pP3/1p1P2P1/nP3N2/q1r2PKP/8 w - - 8/8/8/8/5k2/7p/r6N/6K1 w - - 6k1/3KP3/4P3/8/8/8/6r1/8 b - - 8/5R2/8/8/8/2kp3K/3p4/8 w - - 2q3k1/1p4pp/3p1b2/pb1Pp3/8/1P1nQr1P/P2N1PK1/R1B5 w - - 1k6/8/2K5/8/8/6p1/5p1p/R7 w - - 8/5R2/8/8/8/1kp5/2p4K/8 w - - 8/8/8/8/5K2/5n1p/5k1p/7R w - - 1k6/8/1PP5/8/3KB1p1/5P2/8/6r1 b - - 2k2K2/2p5/P7/Pp1P4/8/7p/7P/8 w - - 2r5/7k/8/8/2N2n1P/Pp3P2/4p3/4R2K w - - 1r6/3k1p2/5P2/2P1P3/p1KP2p1/2P3P1/8/8 w - - K7/8/R7/8/3p4/3P4/1k6/8 b - - n1bq3r/kp1p1K1p/1p1P3p/1P5P/3R3P/3P4/5B2/2Q5 w - - -- C-FAQ: http://www.eskimo.com/~scs/C-faq/top.html "The C-FAQ Book" ISBN 0-201-84519-9 C.A.P.
