I post here the first two games of a 5 game match i played between the newly released Resurrection(V2.02) and the Tasc R40(V2.5) ALL GAMES WERE ..30/Game some general comments.. at this time control : 1)the Res typically achieved 9-10 ply in the middle game and 12-13 in the endgame while the R40 managed 6-7 ply in the middle game with 8-9 in the endgame 2)the Res has an interesting time management system sometimes taking up to 2 minutes for a move while the Tasc never more then 45sec-1min 3)generally the Res searched about 3/4 of a million nodes during each move while the R40 about 1/4 to 1/3 of a million in the games the R40 seemed to come out better in the opening and more then held its own in the middle game.. if the position was close entering the Endgame the Res would dominate due its ability to search much deeper i did not play all games to mate i called the game a win for the side that was ahead overwhelmingly i post a diagram of the final position after each game Game ONE:Resurrection WINS Game /30min [Date "5-28-2005"] [Game 1) [White "R40-V2.5"] [Black "Resurrection-2.02"] [Result "0-1"] 1.
