I'm certainly no chessprogrammer and I'm even no FIDE-Master. But somehow I can count 2 & 2 together, and as a matter of fact it makes 4 and NOT 5. Vincent is one of the most experienced programmers in World Computerchess, Vincent is one of the best chessplayers of all participants. This is _all_ true. My question, just simple science, why then Vincent is never in the top ranks among JUNIOR, SHREDDER and FRITZ? "Even" LIST is a better program. This question cannot be answered in Vincent's favor considering all the advantages Vincent has over his collegues. Could it be that Vincent has in fact all these advantages but cannot exploit them so well that DIEP could profit? There is a very obvious reason for that. Bob has shown it in endless, almost infinite numbers of messages. VD cannot profit enough from his own advantages and talents. By simply following the debates between Bob, many times W-champion, and Vincent, it must have something to do with sense for realities and certainly NOT with self-confidence, because Vincent has more than enough of the latter virtue.
