What specifically are you going use the comp for? Play yourself and analysis - while you're on the run? Or have it play comp-comp games? Or? If playing yourself, most would do alright. Analysis more or less as well. If comp games is what you want, then you probably need resources, and should get a lot more for your money by going for a deskop. Also laptops tends to be slower in certain aspects, disregarding the specs. Arena and Winboard are free, the Fritz GUI isn't, but they don't all support the exact same things, which is a longer story. Regards, Henrik
