i own my 4th IBM laptop now (in about 10 years). i had the first one with me in
a chinese coal power plant (imagine *dirty*). the second one is still serving in
our lab to automate measurements. the third one was stolen, and i'm happy with
its replacement. the harddisk of the second one died once, but apart from that i
have been very happy with these computers. i'm certain the price tag has
absolutely nothing to do with deep blue :-)
