The only way a Fritz rating could equal exactly a FIDE rating is if the
opponents were the same.

Since they are not the same, it can only be a crude approximation at best.

But that's not all bad.  A crude approximation is better than no approximation.

And we can conclude with some measure of certainty that with increasing Elo
comes increasing strength.
