Surely an early version of TSCP and Crafty, and Gerbil would head my list. After that, the fog rolls in - First Chess, and Stanback's Chess, perhaps? It'd be lovely to see Chess 0.5 by Slate & Atkins, up and running (mentioned just recently in CCC). Even though it's not the same program as their World Champion CHESS 4.x, it would be significant just because of it's early and wide release in BYTE magazine, and the significance of Slate & Atkins in computer chess. Interesting to read your list when you get it sorted out. Good luck, Dave
