I found a floppy in a box with the original Arasan 1.0 source and executable - just for fun I have made this available on my download page http://www.arasanchess.org/downld.html. Caveats: this is for Windows 3.1 and was built with the Borland C++ compiler and a 3rd-party class library, Windows++ (this is now available for download at http://www.dilascia.com/wpp.htm). I don't know if the source even builds with a modern compiler. Also, while there are a few test positions included, overall this was not very tested and would probably crash even on WAC. The executable runs on Windows XP in all its ugly bitmapped glory, but I got a GPF on exit. Still, it may be of interest as a historical curiosity. --Jon
