It's possible they forsee Intel once again regaining the performance crown, but
I think the more important reason is $$$$$$
Look at the sweet deal Dell has had with Intel. AMD can't offer them anything
like that. Of course Apple would have to significantly increase their
marketshare to begin seeing real price cuts and incentives from Intel.
I think the switch to x86 would more about going head to head with MS in the OS
market. He who laughs last...
