I posted this position a few days back and several kind members ran it through their respective programs. The outcome was that some modern chess programs will play Be4 after a few minutes thought although some still see this move only as second best preferring Qb6. Under normal tournament time conditions the move Be4 is still not unanimously played. My Chessmaster 9000 program doesn't play Be4 even after 30 mins thinking time although to be fair I'm running it on a 400Mhz Pentium II. After he resigned this (drawn) game Kasparov supposedly ran the position on several PC chess programs overnight and none of them played Be4 - further fuelling his suspicions - I guess chess programs have come a long way since.
