I doubt he has had time to recieve the first one, yet, you think?  But if it is
a mechanical problem, it can probably be repaired.  If it's an electronic
problem, it might still be fixed by an expert with an extra unit to cannibalize
from.  I know a guy that has fixed some of the most hopelessly smashed laptops.
I'd bet he could fix one of these babies if it were remotely possible.
