Not a waste at all if you enjoy it and have fun, no matter if you speak of general time, hobby time or klingon time. >>>>>how can a person learn from computer games? I am sorry to hear that you >>>>can't learn from it. >>> >>>Kasparov can't learn from computer vs computer games, other granmasters as well. Maybe he can maybe he can't same goes for GM's in general, that is up to the individual to decide, not you. >did the engine1 tell you that its opponent engine2 has bad piece? >what software are you using? Chess is chess, an engine does not have to tell me anything, i can use my own brain and eyes. >>openings, opening >>ideas etc from watching computers play. > >you only look at evalution and not at moves. LOL! if you where a psychic you would be out of business. >I play with them.I dont let them fight and see the result. So what? Let's see some games. >>>I wonder what will happen to computerchess world? >>>you will get more shredders and Fritzs, thats all. >> >>And progressively stronger engines, lot's of fun testing them etc. > >yeah, lots of fun buying them, testing them ,reporting the result and not getting >the reply. You seem to misunderstand most of my points, maybe it is because of your, how should put this nicely, less than perfect english, maybe it is because you don't want to understand or maybe you just can't, but it is getting very tiresome arguing with someone who claims to know what is right and wrong regardless of what others think and think's he knows whether "you only look at evalution and not at moves." or not, which is arrogant at best.
