An old chess book says:
In the opening play Nb1a3 ... Na3b1 ... Nb1a3 ...
and if it is captured play Ra1b1 ... Rb1a1 ...
Then observe how long it takes that the black computer mates you.
Perhaps you can adopt this technique to the middle game.
