But I don´t think that this will give good results. Check extensions are good for the following reasons: 1. Find tactical threats with checking moves faster (not only mate threats) 2. Reduces the chance to push a threat out of the horizont by giving check(s) 3. Find draw by repetion with checks faster IMHO expecially the point 2. is important in endgames. Greetings Volker
