If it is not a hardware problem, then the likely answer is
running out of memory (both physical and virtual).
The virtual memory may be constrained due to lack of disk space.
How much free disk space do you have?
Also, I agree with Kurt 128M hash is a bit much on a Windows
OS and the machine has only 256MB ram.
