The guesthouses are the only reasonable alternative availlable, and even they have prices like **** hotels elsewhere. Have you already checked this page: http://www.ru.is/wccc05/default.asp?Page=Notepad&ID=2 ? The local organizers have tried to list some options. The guesthouses are very similar to hotel prices in Israel and their standards look OK. Hotels are probably only an alternative for the Hydra Sheik ;) . Peter
