I don't see a problem if crafty allows it. Nobody cares and I would not think it worth the effort to "fix", since nothing is really broken. As long as the engine will play a legal game of chess, and be flexible enough to allow problem setup, then it can't be much of an issue. I suppose this is similar to "stress testing" UNIX commands and utilities by throwing random garbage at them to see if they will "crash" or not. GNU used to boast that their tools were superior to proprietary UNIX tools in this regard. > >Christopher
