Think about this scenario: someone plans to win a championship. He creates a clone of a known program with the help of a couple of friends. He trains on the final version of the clone by chance. Others can't do that. Since the clone is strong it makes points against rivals of our firstly mentioned program! Would that in the end decide a championship? I see a similarity to the old example of companies with several tournament entries...
