Actually, I hate teaching books filled with humour. I am serious when I learn. However amateur computer chess is not serious so ... I could not finish a Perl book by the creator of the language. Nobody believed me then when I said how weak it was. I was subsequently too lazy to write the file from scratch, as you could see. If I keep all these remarks, some programmers might feel insulted.
