Maybe you are right Omar : i must confess I do not have a precise knowledge of
the optimal hash size according to game duration.
Do you have precise information on the subject?
Is there something like a general rule or is it largely engine-specific?

I just remember a somewhat approximative approach of it in a chronicle by Steve
Lopez on chessbase website a few years ago...
