[--snip--] My program Djinn is a rather weak engine, but it has *always* played anyone and everyone. In fact, I set no formula at all--so I'm not sure that portion of your objection is valid. On the other hand, I do agree that the ratings are inflated. Keep in mind though, that the ICC ELO ratings are only a reflection of a particular pool of players and essentially bear no relationship to any other ratings (FIDE, USCF etc.) regards, --tom
