The point is that they do not have to do it in order to participate in WCCC so I
see no advantage of the chessbase engines.

implementing what the chessbase interface implement is relatively easy(amd they
will accept a lot of illegal positions.

They accept for example king that is under threat from more than 2 directions.

I also know that some non chessbase engines like Jonny used the chessbase
interface in WCCC
It is allowed so I do not see the relative advantage of the chessbase engines.
