Making an engine that plays as an exe in console mode would be the best time spent by the programmers of the Chessbase engines. They did after all put a sort of UCI in the Fritz GUI. Why not go the full distance then and make a console mode for the WCCC 2005. Let's see how good they really are. What are they afraid of? Why have a proprietory format? Strange......no? Christopher
