Thanks

I was planning a end of the year/beginning of next time frame anyhow

The x2 does not need registered memory and is cheaper than the opteron dual core

I saw price ad and some specs for a64x2 4800

I was wondering with the newer 252 opteron there might be a considerable price
drop in the older 24x,or a smaller price drop in the 250 opteron and if a 24x
might be comparable power wise to the a64x2 4800
