How is this any different from Formula-1 or Nascar?  The competitors do not
drive same designed engines. The best car engines give the drivers the best
chance of winning. I don't see your point.  In a chess tournament, the best
prepared player have an edge, perhaps we should have clones of Kasparov and this
would solve the problem of Kasparov having an unfair advantage over his
competition. Oh! I forgot he retired! :)
